I offer mixing, mastering and recording services for artists and bands who want clarity, warmth and musicality in their sound. Whether you’re working on jazz, singer–songwriter material, instrumental music or something more experimental, I focus on enhancing what is already there — the emotion, the interplay, the story behind the music.

Based in Perth, Western Australia, I work both in person and remotely with musicians around the world.

MIXING

I mix recordings of all genres and sizes — from single tracks to full albums. My priorities are balance, tone, depth and impact, while retaining the natural character of the performance.
I specialise in acoustic and contemporary music, including:

MASTERING

I provide digital mastering for all formats, ensuring your music translates consistently and musically across every playback system.
Whether you’re releasing a single or a full album, I create masters tailored for:

Digital releases (Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, YouTube, etc.)
CD (Red Book standard)
Vinyl pre-masters (headroom- and EQ-aware masters optimised for cutting)

My approach focuses on clarity, depth and balance while preserving the dynamics and musicality of the performance. No over-compression — just a clean, warm and engaging final master ready for release.

RECORDING

I record ensembles and solo artists on location and in the studio.
I specialise in live recording, where interaction and energy matter most.

I have extensive experience handling microphone spill (bleed), difficult acoustics and complex ensemble setups. Whether it’s a jazz group, classical ensemble or singer–songwriter session, my goal is to capture a natural, coherent and musical sound that feels true to the performance.

Musician’s perspective – As a bassist and composer, I understand musical feel, ensemble interaction and artistic intention.
Academic grounding – I hold a Master of Science in Audio Communication and Technology from the Technical University of Berlin, where my master’s thesis focused on musical instrument acoustics.
Microphone expertise – I worked for two years at Neumann Microphones as the assistant to their acoustics development engineers, gaining hands-on experience with microphone design, evaluation and critical listening.
Real-world engineering – I also worked as a live sound engineer at Berlin’s main jazz club, giving me practical experience with acoustics, mic placement, dynamic ensembles and fast problem-solving.
The ears and the technical knowledge – I bring together musical sensitivity, a deep understanding of sound, and solid engineering expertise to create mixes and masters that are both technically accurate and emotionally engaging.
